Cala Llonga Owners’ Association
We are a group of members working in different areas of the association.
Cala Llonga looks so good thanks to two very important elements – a dedicated voluntary Residents´Association committee and the Cala Llonga owners themselves, who pay an annual fee. All of these funds go towards maintenance and general improvements – gardening in all the communal areas, the building of walls to enclose rubbish containers, drainage repairs, protective fencing by dangerous open ground among other projects. In September of 2009, we were officially taken over by the Mahón Town Hall, but they have asked the committee to carry on supervising the general maintenance (gardening and minor building repairs to pavements etc) and will continue to give us a yearly grant.
The Town Hall is now responsible for our public lighting and water bills, road re-surfacing and large maintenance jobs.
Where are we?
Cala Llonga is Mahón’s most prestigious urbanization. Situated on the north shore of Mahón Harbour, Menorca, it occupies a vast tract of land and has 360 houses on a total of 540 plots. The owners are a healthy mix of nationalities and more and more people are coming to live here all the year round. Cala Llonga boasts magnificent views and faces south-south-west, which means we get sun all day.
It is 5-7 minutes drive from the city of Mahón, and very close to the beaches Cala Mesquida and Es Grau. Many owners also keep their boats on the jetties strung along the coastline, allowing exceptionally safe mooring facilities and easy access to the harbour mouth.
